Martin Blank (John Cusack - High Fidelity) is a professional killer. He is sent to a mission in a Detroit suburb which happens to be the weekend of their 10 year reunion. His secretary (Joan Cusack - High Fidelity) convinces him to confront his fear and finally face the past.

Grosse Point Blank isn't for everyone as it is an essential dark comedy. John Cusack is probably one of Hollywood's best underused actor. Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity remains on my top favorite recent movies of all time and this because of Cusack's character. Other stars in the movie include Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting) who plays the love interest, Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters), Hank Azaria (Moe in the Simpsons), Jeremy Piven (Old School) and blast from the past Alan Arkin (The Russians are coming!) stars in what has become one big cult following movie.

Dark comedy has a hard time to find a niche in Hollywood and it's thanks to movies like Grosse Point Blank that others like Bad Santa are even born. They are some great quotes in this movie including the famous: "You're a psychopath, No, No. Psychopaths kill for no reason. I kill for money it's a job! " If you smiled at that sentance than do yourself a favour and rent or better yet buy yourself a DVD copy of the movie.

Written by Tom Jankiewicz which surprisingly disappeared after this movie back in 1997. He never wrote another script after Grosse Point Blank and that is unfortunate because the movie as mentioned has great quotes and is to be remembered.

George Armitage on the other hand pops out of the blue here and there and came back 7 years later to bring us the infamous "The Big Bounce" which bombed at the box-office. Nevertheless, the movie is sometimes predictable but essentially it is a pleasant 107 minutes to spend with.

This is an old school DVD therefore the video and audio are a bit outdated. It would be nice to have a special edition of this DVD. The extras is basically a trailer for the movie which is quite dissapointing. As mentioned it would be nice to get a new edition of this cult classic, I'm sure it would reach out to a lot of fans.
