After inheriting the immense fortune of his eccentric master, a German Shepherd named King is one wealthy dog -- and the subject of a murder plot. When he's poisoned, his loyal caretaker, Ellen, is blamed, and the loyal King begs to be sent back to Earth to clear her name. Placed in the body of detective Rex Shepard, he and his assistant, racehorse-turned-woman Goldie, will take to the streets to uncover who murdered the prosperous dog.
