Synopsis: Gabby Whittaker runs the Half-a-Chance Ranch for boys from troubled homes. At the boys' graduation, Gabby's friend Roy Rogers performs. Roy later grows concerned when one of the boys, Chip, receives a visit from his outlaw father, King Blaine. Chased away by the sheriff, Blaine is shot and killed, leaving Chip a pawn between Blaine's gang and Roy -- who knows Blaine left the take from his last robbery with his son.
